Building Life Skills
Seisen International School believes that a dynamic and competitive athletic program is an essential element to a students’ total education. We believe that Seisen student-athletes learn a great deal from participation in athletics and that team membership provides experiences that help them grow and develop both in the athletic environment and the classroom.
Through sports, students develop their athletic skills and the life skills of self-discipline, teamwork, goal-setting, sportsmanship, and time-management. The lessons learned in athletics help students build life-skills that benefit their development as contributing members of their community.
Seisen provides varying team sports throughout the year. We are part of the Kanto Plain League within the greater Tokyo area for each sport. This league includes other international and DoDDs schools within the surrounding area. In addition to the Kanto Plain League, our athletes often participate in the DoDDS Far East tournament at the end of each season. Seisen teams have been known for excellence in athletics and it is our responsibility to be ambassadors of sportsmanship for Seisen at all times. The success of any sports program is built upon a combined effort from students, parents, coaches and staff.
