The concert bands and orchestras from ASIJ, St.Mary’s, CAJ, Zama, Sacred Heart, and Yokota also attended, and the students and the music directors had a wonderful day celebrating each other’s musical efforts. The guest adjudicator this year was Mr.Don Ekstrand, former music director at the Christian Academy of Japan, and he gave words of encouragement and constructive feedback for the ensembles.

The Wind Ensemble, directed by Ms.Hashimoto-Uesaka, gave a polished performance of Karl King’s Aces of the Air, Percy Grainger’s Mock Morris, and Michelle Fernandez’s Proud of Me, showcasing their excellent control of balance, dynamics, articulation, and rhythmic precision. Their performance was received enthusiastically by the audience, and the students were thrilled to receive a Division I Superior rating, scoring 38 out of 40 points.

The String Ensemble, directed by Mrs.Marian Mine, gave a stellar performance of J.S.Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No.3 and Coldplay’s Viva La Vida, showcasing the harmonious collaboration between the middle and high school string students with excellent continuo accompaniment. The String Ensemble's performance also received a Division I Superior Rating with 37 out of 40 points.
