Congratulations to the Seisen Wind Ensemble and Seisen String Ensemble for their performance that earned both ensembles a Division I Superior rating at the 2025 KPASS Band & Orchestra Festival at American School in Japan on November 13th!

Commander of the US Air Force Band, Colonel Joseph Hansen, and professional violinist, Ms.Cindy Lu were the guest adjudicators for this year, and they gave excellent advice while providing words of encouragement to all the participating ensembles.

Ms.Hashimoto and Mr.DiMuzio are very proud of the students’ extraordinary efforts in learning and executing their challenging repertoire.  The string and wind ensembles from ASIJ, St.Mary’s, Sacred Heart, Christian Academy, Zama, and Yokota were also in attendance, and it was heartwarming to see the students congratulating each other afterwards on their performances.

Bravo to our Seisen instrumentalists!

On November 21st, the Seisen Wind Ensemble and the St.Mary’s, Seisen, Sacred Heart Concert Band performed for Ms.Hashimoto’s high school music teacher, Ms. Francesca Kubian from the U.S. Mrs. Kubian taught in the choral and instrumental program in Ridgewood, New Jersey for many decades, and she is now retired. Mrs. Kubian was very impressed with the quality of Seisen students’ musicianship as well as their learning attitudes, and she was touched and proud to see how her work in Music education is being carried on by her former students, like Ms.Hashimoto, and now her student’s student (Ms.Bae at Sacred Heart, who was taught by Ms.Hashimoto)!
