Kyle Jimenez

This week in Mr. Jimenez’s Grade 12 class, The Mori Art Museum associate-curator Manabu Yahagi and freelance art coordinator/VIP Consultant for Frieze art fair Renna Okubo came in to talk about careers in the arts. The talk focused on their journey through academia, as well as internships in notable art galleries in New York such as the MoMa and the Whitney. Mr. Yahagi also shared with us the process of how Mori receives artworks, assembles them, and makes mindful decisions on how the works were displayed as demonstrated through some examples of the current Louise Bourgeois exhibition. Thank you again Mr. Yahagi and Mrs. Okubo for taking the time to come in and share your experiences!
