On Monday, October 28, kindergarten students and teachers came to the Seisen’s MPR-1 Drama Room to watch Drama 9/10 students present an original play made just for them.

The play, titled “The Birthday Party Problem” was based on the popular Disney animation “Sofia The First”. The production was supervised by Dr. Reimer and directed by Nelly Hieromoini, Yuri Kanzaki, and Noemi Spezzigu.

The cast of the show featured Drama 9/10 students Mirai Bistriteanu, Sophie Chen, Lilia Davitt, Satsuki Davitt, Yuri Kanzaki, Sion Lee, Luna Spear, Noemi Spezzigu, Ana Rie Tejima, and Saya Yamamoto. The stage manager team consisted of Yuma Kawasaki and Hanna Argueta.

The show was originally planned to be performed on the KG Playground, but due to rainy weather the performance was moved to the MPR-1 Drama Room. Even though KG students and teachers had to go a little farther for the show, everyone seemed to enjoy the story of friendship and cooperation.

“We really focused on creating a show that the KG students could enjoy, with familiar characters and an easy-to-understand message,” said Dr. Reimer. “In the end, the Drama 9/10 students were very pleased with what they created, and the audience seemed to really enjoy the experience.”
