On Wednesday, March 12, the Grade 8 Drama students presented a series of partner-based acting scenes for students from Seisen in Nagano.

Drama 8 students presented three scenes: Sara Y and Hina presented a scene about a difficult job interview titled “Career Match”, Hannah and Akane presented a scene on a plane titled “Miss Connections”, and Jun, Sumile and Neha presented a scene about three girlfriends in rural America titled “3 Redneck Girls.”

This was the first time for the groups to perform their scenes publicly, as they are still in the developmental phase of Unit 2 for the class on Partner Acting.

“I was very proud of them,” said Drama Teacher Dr. Reimer. “The Drama students were all nervous to perform, and of course we were dealing with issues on the day – things like missing people and flubbed lines – but they keep going, and in the end they did excellently.”

These were still draft performances for the students. Their final performances of these scenes will take place on Thursday, April 10 at 9:45 am in the MPR-1. Seisen students, teachers, and parents are welcome to attend.

Pictures of the performances can be found on Vidigami.
