A Flourishing Start of the School Year in Instrumental Music
Naoko Hashimoto-Uesaka

The air is already alive with music as our middle and high school instrumentalists dive enthusiastically into the new academic year!

It is truly inspiring to witness the enthusiasm of our students embracing the challenge of creating music together. A special shout-out goes to our newest instrumentalists in the Beginner Band, who are making fantastic progress!
They are diligently working on the fundamentals, from proper instrument assembly to achieving their very first resonant sounds on their instruments. The focus and determination they display in class is remarkable, and we are already so proud of the sounds they are producing.

Music Students 2025

A wonderful part of this process has been the supportive interaction with our older students; our high school musicians have been generously stepping in to mentor many of the Grade 6 students, offering guidance and encouragement. This peer-to-peer support not only helps the beginners gain confidence but also fosters a wonderful sense of community and leaderships in the instrumental program.
