SIDAC is a multi-entertainment club consisting of Seisen HS students interested in dancing. We are planning to meet every Thursday from 3:30 to 4:45 (the schedule is subject to change).

In SIDAC we…
Perform at least one full song if there is Talent Show
Complete at least one song per quarter & make a choreography video for each song
 

It is best for those who…
Like dancing and memorizing choreographies 
Want to create choreography videos
Want to perform on stage
Want to do dancing for CAS (falls under both Creativity and Activity!)

Students should be more mindful of the current issue of fashion waste pollution. With this club, students will be able to learn how to design, up-cycle and decorate articles of clothing they have and would normally throw out in the hope of reducing waste within the fashion community. Students will also have the opportunity to express their fashion taste, as many students are not able to do that due to wearing uniforms.
 

This club is open to anyone who is interested in pottery or who would just like to learn a new skill. We want to encourage students to be able to use their creativity and explore media we may not cover in class.

A limited number of people can join,

Preference will be given to 
people who could not do Empty
Bowls, and people needing

We want to engage more people to get interested in music, not just listening to it but also to learn the background, theory and history behind it and to be able to compose your own music!!
OUR GOAL: 
Compose 3-4 pieces of music per semester
Perform at the Christmas and Spring Concerts (if we have them)
Or we can try to get our own concert if we have enough people and songs (probably an online one in this situation)

Arts Committee is a committee dedicated to helping organize art activities within the school. This would include designing murals, organizing grams or card designs, posters for school events, etc. Meetings will happen roughly every 2 weeks.

Publish a photo collection every semester and hopefully will be having an exhibition/gallery at the end of the school year.

Are you interested in drawing realistic portraits?
In this club, we will learn how to express our beliefs and emotions through pencil drawing.

You can develop artistic skills if you learn the basics correctly! We’ll start with simple facial features, then facial structures, and finally draw an actual face or a portrait.

→ Why join this club?
Even drawing as a hobby can influence your creativity skills to be much more expressive and colorful! You will be recreating faces and certain expressions in your style. We’ll be able to share our progressions as artists in Seisen!

→ You don’t have to be experienced in drawing!

Aim : To hone our instrumental skills by rehearsing and performing concert band repertoire at festivals and concerts.

We hone our vocal skills by rehearsing and performing choral repertoire at festivals and concerts.  Beginners are welcome!

This ensemble is an extension of the HS Choir. Students in this ensemble are selected by audition, and perform in various festivals and concerts throughout the year. 
 

This club is for you to expand on your creativity through a foreign medium of art (FILM) at Seisen! At school we do not get the chance to learn film and cinema studies, so this club is a great opportunity to help you learn story writing, filmmaking, and many other skills. Through this activity, we will learn some film theory, along with learning how to create our own short film/story. 
By the end of the year, our aim is for students to create at least one short film or story on their own or in a group!
 

Our Mission
Our goal is to create an inclusive platform where students can learn about Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning through an educative and supportive way, such as through hands-on and interactive activities.

Why join our club?
We decided to form our club because we have noticed that schools lack education primarily related to computer science. We want students to engage with AI and ML as they are taking up a primary part of our lives. We believe that our resources can be of help to many students and learners and foster interests in this field! + No prior experience in programming is needed!

Mission Statement : Our main goal is to implement the idea of entrepreneurship to students so that students can be creative, initiative, risk-taking, and communicative. 
This is very important as international school students because this club will motivate students to follow the IB learner profile. Throughout the year, we would like to share the knowledge we acquired from zoom sessions with CEOs of major companies this summer. Furthermore, the members of the club will be helping us to advertise events that are organized by JBEC in order for more high school students can be exposed to entrepreneurship. By the end of the year, we are hoping for students to  organize their own networking events, zoom sessions, and businesses with the help of people in the business world! This club is not time consuming, and you can choose how much effort you want to put in. Also, we are currently looking for executive members so please keep that in mind. Are you interested in social justice? Do you want to make a difference? Discuss, educate, learn and act!
Last year, we only did fundraised and planned for events but towards the end, we had some great discussions about on-going social justice issues (healthcare, BLM, coronavirus)! Moving on, this year, our primary goal is to discuss and educate ourselves about social justice while taking action towards them. We are planning to have various activities for raising awareness, collaborating with local communities, hands on volunteer works, fund raisings, etc. that relate to social justice issues (which will be chosen by you!). 
We are planning to have 1-2 meetings a week (time TBD). We want all members to engage in all SJ discussions and activities not only in our meetings, but also in our community! There’s so much difference you can make :)

Seisen has been taking part in the CNN freedom project since the 2019-2020 school 
year. Last year, we were to get interviewed by CNN at their studio, though this unfortunately got cancelled due to the pandemic. 
Our focus this year will be on ways to shop ethically. This means shopping in ways that you will not contribute to modern day slavery. We will have weekly meetings throughout the year to prepare for the CNN freedom day which will be held in March!

Objective
To promote an interactive community for social awareness regarding racial disparities and oppressions and to establish pathways for future generations of Seisen students to do the same. To prevent factors leaning towards racist or discriminatory disadvantages among all students, faculty and remaining Seisen community. To create a healthy and open-minded safe space for discussions and analysis on racial prejudice and treatment one might be facing. To amplify the voice of the minority and to elevate them in the name of justice.

In SSC we learn and spread awareness of the ongoing issue; Poverty. We will collect money and donate the money collected to the organizations that focus on helping the poor; children in LEDCs, and homelessness in Japan. Additionally, we will make our own social media page where we discuss and spread the issue of poverty. Once the Covid-19 situation subsides, we will go out and participate in service work. We will meet once a week after school. 
Through this club, not only do we want to donate and help out, but we would also like to strive to find a practical solution that would bring a step closer to end poverty.

Goal: To implement the idea of recycling into our community and to learn how be a sustainable individual. 

What we do:
Over the course of this year, we will be collecting/receiving clothes that people do not need/wear anymore. With that, we will be donating the clothes to organizations that help people in need.
We are planning to donate clothes we have collected at least twice a year (each semester). So if you are interested in this club, please join and let’s change the world to become more environmentally friendly.

This club is opened to all grades, to anyone!!
We will have a meeting once a month for 1-1.5 hours after school. (Date will be chosen later)
It will not take up your time a lot so please join! It also falls under service in CAS!!
 

The goal of BCAC is to bring awareness to breast cancer and to raise money for organizations that help further the understanding of the illness. We do this by organizing events, bake sales, free dress days, and other fundraisers. Meetings will take place about once a week. We mostly work during the first part of the year as October is breast cancer awareness month. 

Lend a Paw is a club dedicated to volunteering at a local dog shelter to walking dogs, cleaning the shelter and raising money for the dog shelter. This is a good experience to use for your CAS service strand if you don’t have one already. The volunteering will take place every Saturday and Sunday from 10:30-14:00, but you don’t have to come every week - sign ups are based on your own schedule. Some of the dogs have a past with abuse and neglect so please make sure that you are gentle & prepared to deal with that if you’re going to sign up. The shelter only speaks in Japanese, so make sure you can speak Japanese or have a friend who can that will volunteer with you if you’re going to sign up. Sign up if you like dogs and want to help the community!
 

Wellness Club was constructed last year in order to raise awareness in student body’s mental wellness. 
As Seisin students, we are well aware of the stress levels we experience, so we wanted to create a place where we would learn how to cope with stress effectively
We will not be holding active meetings; however, we are going to have activities that will include the whole High School to raise awareness of mental health. 
We have an upcoming dress down day and all the money collected will be donated to TELL (an organization which provides help to support mental health)
 

We are bringing TEDx to Seisen!! We are planning to hold our event in March/April in 2021.

Within the club, there are several separate teams which are responsible for different things! (e.g. PR team, design team, curator team etc.) There is something for EVERYONE, whether you like art or math or just collaboration. More specific descriptions and schedules regarding groups can be found HERE.

Each team will work independently but with some collaborative works between teams and occasional meetings as the whole team. Ideally, team members will discuss when they will meet. This is a perfect chance to practise organizational skills or to be in a leadership position!

In addition to organizing, we are looking for performer/speakers for TEDx. If you are interested,  HERE is the interest form.

In GAA (Girls Athletic Association), our aim is to boost school spirit by organizing events like the pep rally, promote various games (social media, GAA board), and design Seisen spirit wear!! It is not required for you to be part of a team as long as you’re passionate about sports!!

We have one or two meetings every month to discuss ways we can improve Seisen athletics!!
