Students in Grade 4 did not have to travel far to find some famous artwork... right here in Tokyo, at The Museum of Western Art. They had the opportunity to walk around the galleries and view the collection, with some well-known names amongst the artists - Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh and even Pablo Picasso!
After finding their way around, they chose their favourites and discussed, described analysed and sketched what they could see in the paintings, sculpture and prints. This excursion was a great learning opportunity, linking with the Grade PYP Unit “Expression Through the Arts”.
