PYP Exhibition - One Week Countdown
With just one week to go until the big night, read how students are putting together the final touches of the different PYP Exhibition Components.
In seven days time, the Seisen community will come together to celebrate the culmination of the grade six students' PYP journey. Yes, it's that time of year again - the PYP Exhibition!
On Friday, April 27th from 5.30pm - 8.30pm parents, teachers, mentors, and students will browse the interactive Exhibition spaces, listen to oral presentations and learn about how the girls' inquiries progressed from expressing interest in an issue to developing a deep understanding of the causes and implications of their chosen issues.
The final week will give the groups a chance to synthesize their learning and create interactive spaces that will showcase their learning and provoke thinking for all of next week's visitors. Groups will also manage their remaining time to put the finishing touches to their oral presentations and written components, interpret and analyse data from the hundreds of responses to their surveys, and complete an artistic representation of their chosen issue.
There have been difficulties along the way and each group has had the support of their homeroom teacher and mentor. Mentors play an important role in the Exhibition as they help to guide the students, point them in the direction of appropriate primary and secondary resources, and provide valuable feedback to help progress student inquiries (as you can see in the photographs, above and below). We'd like to thank all the mentors for their continued support and we look forward to seeing the final products next Friday. Good luck, everybody!
