Parent Morning Tea & PYP: Approaches to Learning (PYP Enhancements)

On Friday 15th November, parents explored how they can support children in the development of the 'Approaches to Learning', specifically focusing on social skills and self management skills. 

Together we discussed:

- Why the approaches to learning exist and are so important 

- What the approaches to learning are in the PYP

- How the sub skills of the approaches to learning are being developed at Seisen International School

- How teachers explicitly teach social skills and self management skills at school

- We reflected on where parents think their daughters are currently in relation to these skills

- Identified strategies of how these can be supported at home and developed an action plan for explicit teaching of the skills within the home environment using this tool:
