Parents Back to School Day
The recent Parents back to School day saw several parents attending the MYP information session regarding the grade 8 2019/2020 Community Project. Students have allocated time on their schedule for Projects on Day 5 p.6.
The students have been busy forming their groups, making decisions about their process journal format and selecting a Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) to help direct their proposal for action. Additionally, selecting a global context will help focus of the action. Students are also writing ideas through developing mind maps and brainstorming with their peers.
The next stage is for students to write their work plan in their group, complete their specific details in order to meet the needs of the project, and the deadline on the 17th February 2020

Join us again Thursday, October 3rd for the next MYP Parent Session, "Interdisciplinary Learning in the MYP".
Yours Sincerely,
Amanda Marcon
MYP Coordinator & MS Assistant Principal
Recently Middle School parents learned about how student's contributions to the "Stories to Educate" unit will have a significant impact on the lives of elementary school children in Vietnam.
Seisen MYP students in grades 7 & 8 created digital, and hard copy, books containing original stories in English and other languages: Japanese, French, and Spanish for elementary students in developing countries.
Interdisciplinary learning is not new to Seisen International School. For several years there have been various forms of integration amongst subject disciplines through multi-disciplinary, cross-disciplinary, and integrative approaches.
