Bridie is really passionate about sport and thinks that woman need more opportunities in life to be active.

"I think that woman need to have more opportunities. In sport woman are treated differently than men are, and then this makes woman less powerful. I have chosen this topic because I can relate to this from experiences with local sport clubs. This will make others notice how important this is because of our all girls school."

Bridie's Grade 5 Exhibition focussed on: 'Understanding how gender inequality in sports affects opportunities for women.'

She explored:

- Gender equality within the sports industry

- Our responsibility as women in sport within Japan

- The future of gender equality within the sports industry

You can read more about her work on her Exhibition Website Homepage - Bridie's Exhibition Website.

As part of this year's Grade 5 unit of inquiry into Identity, within PE students explored their own personal sporting identity. Bridie came to present to the students about the action she took by starting her own business over Summer 2020.

Bridie talked through her inspiration for the business and how she went about getting it up and running!

Thank you for inspiring us Bridie! We can't wait to see what this talented, inspiring, motivated student does next!
