Making Seisen a Sustainable School: MYP Year5 Grade 10 Science Investigation Series

This Spring the Grade 10 MYP Science Class worked on this Statement of Inquiry:

Sustainability depends on design decisions within the community.

Each group was given the following task:

Design and investigate an environmental factor that is related to our community. 

The audience was the many stakeholders within the school including School Administrator;  Students ;Teacher ; Staff ; Everyone. 

Groups had the option of investigating one of six environmental issues.

1. Solid domestic waste
2. Air pollution
3. Carbon emission
4. Energy security
5. Food Resources
6. Ecosystem and diversity

ES Playground Plant Species

We investigated the biodiversity of the school and focused on the ES playground's nourishment. We collected data on plant species, identified and classified them.
