Seisen’s Science Department would like to formally declare the second annual 2022 Big Science Day Online officially launched and open!

Big Science Day has traditionally been an in-person event at Seisen International School, where students presented their learning gained from uniquely designed science-based projects to other students, staff, families, and in general, the entire Seisen community.

Unfortunately, with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this could not happen. Despite this fact, the spirit of science is, and always has been, alive and well here at Seisen, which motivated us to bring Big Science Day ONLINE. Last year’s inaugural online variation of the event offered a wide variety of projects, ranging from constructional design project to scientific investigations, in Grade 8, Grade 9, and our elite Firebird Science teams.

This year, with pandemic concerns still existing, the Science Department is proud to announce the second annual Big Science Day Online event, on a larger and grander scale!

This year we are featuring more grade levels and students:
Grade 8 - scientific investigations
Grade 9 - furniture design construction
Grade 10 - sustainable development goal designs
Grade 11 - IB Group 4 project: science-based escape room theme
Firebird (Seisen’s elite science team) - independently developed STEM-based projects

Months of hard work and effort attributed to our students can now finally be put on full display. Please join us in celebrating our students’ scientific achievements by exploring our Big Science Day Online webpages, reading specific student project information, viewing student-made presentations and videos, and interactively commenting on individual projects!
