- Middle School
The annual MS Kanto plains Brain Bowl competition hosted by Tokyo International School on 8th February, 2023, was well attended by 102 students from nine schools.
Everything went according to schedule, with the event starting off slightly after 9 a.m and finishing just before 2:30 p.m. A unique aspect of the competition is that the 26 teams comprised mixed schools (each team of 3 or 4 students consisted of students from 3 or 4 different schools). Schools were not competing against each other. The mixed schools team arrangement allowed students to quickly strike a rapport and work collaboratively.
Ultimately, Seisen featured in 3 of the top 5 teams in the competition.
Following are the names of the Seisen students who participated in the 3 teams.
1. Team Y(Alternate team) 154 points Haru Studebaker
2. Team O 150 points Lena Wong-Juhl
4. Team R 142 points Adithi Saisekar
Well done to all the students who participated in this event. They had a wonderful time and the experience they got was invaluable, more so it being in person since 2019. Thank you to all the
students who participated during Practice sessions but could not be part of the competing team at TIS because of restrictions on numbers. We hope next year will be even better.
