In this post I wish to highlight the impressive achievements of Seisen International School students on the May 2022 International Baccalaureate (IB) exams. A great deal of commendation is due to the 38 students who sat IB exams, the teachers who prepared them so effectively despite the complications of Covid and the unwavering of their parents and guardians.

Nine Students Score 40 or More Points

Eight Seisen students scored 40 or more points. To put this into perspective, on average just nine percent of Diploma Program candidates worldwide achieve a score of 40 or more points.

In addition, 67% of all Seisen diploma recipients scored 35 points or higher.

Bilingual Diplomas Awarded to 11 Students

Of the 31 students who obtained the diploma 16 earned an IB Bilingual Diploma—meaning they took and passed exams in two Language A subjects.

Extended Essay, Theory of Knowledge and Creativity Action Service

All diploma students met the requirements for passing the Core components of the diploma program. In ToK, 29% of the students achieved an “A”,  with an impressive 80% scoring a “B” or higher. For the Extended Essay 29% of students attained “A’s”, with 48% achieving an “B” or higher. All students successfully completed the CAS program.

As a non selective school Seisen is rightly proud of the achievements of its students.

Congratulations to the Class of 2022 and good luck in your future endeavors!
