Todoroki Valley

Situated near the Todoroki station which is just 5 minutes by train from Futako-Tamagawa and 20 minutes from Shibuya, Todoroki Valley is a hidden gem showcasing green foliage all year round. Sounds of the babbling brook and the rustling leaves, the gentle sun rays shining down, the sight and smell of the mossy rocks are all soothing recipes for our busy minds. The 1km route from the entrance to the end which features a temple is perfect for enjoying a quiet morning outdoors and rejuvenating ourselves.

Hanegi Park (Umegaoka)

Spring is in the air! Plum blossoms under blue skies 

Hanegi Park is famous for its “Setagaya Plum Blossom Festival” (Ume Matsuri) in mid-February to early March, which features 650 plum trees beautifully blooming in red, pink and white to mark the beginning of spring, winning them the name as one of the “hundred famous trees of Setagaya Ward”. After taking gorgeous pictures of the plum blossoms and enjoying the delicate, sweet scent of the flowers, you can take a walk in the peaceful park to get some fresh air on this small hill. There are also areas and facilities for children to play and explore.

Blessed with lovely weather, the festival was a big success, attended by current students and their families, alumni and families, and staff/ faculty members and families. In accordance with the “new normal” lifestyle, we saw a number of changes in the management of the festival for more convenience and to show our care for the environment.

Golden Memories of SPA Through The Years

Seisen has a long tradition of parent involvement since the 1960’s. A parents’ group was born as the “Mothers' Club”, known later on as the “SIS Mothers Association”, and has now become the Seisen Parents Association (SPA), diversely involving fathers, mothers and guardians of our students!
