"A SPA is Born"

We are thrilled to celebrate with the Seisen community this significant and auspicious year which marks the 60th anniversary of our school. In Japan, it is customary to honor a person’s 60th birthday, also known as “kanreki”, literally meaning “rebirth”.

Seisen has a long tradition of parent involvement since the 1960’s. A parents’ group was born as the “Mothers' Club”, known later on as the “SIS Mothers Association”, and has now become the Seisen Parents Association (SPA), diversely involving fathers, mothers and guardians of our students!

Lifestyles and values may have changed over time, but the first and foremost purpose of SPA has alway been to connect parents/ guardians with the school to enhance mutual understanding through collaboration. The spirit of community again nurtures a sense of belonging in the students as they feel the support of their parents through school activities.

Community Building#Fundraising

SPA organizes a number of fundraising events during the year, like the “Festival of Nations” (also known as the Seisen Bazaar), which has been part of the school's tradition since the early years. 100% of the proceeds go to support the students’ activities, including student travels and funding school events and class celebrations from kindergarten to high school, and improvement of school equipments.
