Academic and Higher Education Advising

We are proud of the fact that students from Seisen International School graduate fully prepared to succeed in higher education and are maintaining their excellent standards of performance in select colleges throughout the world.

Virtually all graduates of Seisen International School are accepted by, and enroll in, college or university.

The purpose of our advising program is to guide and assist with all aspects of the college search and application process. We work with students to find universities that match their personalities, needs, and goals while offering advice on establishing manageable timelines. Additionally, we provide pertinent information regarding standardized tests, test preparation, and summer programs. We actively encourage college representatives to visit our students and our school.

GPSA runs hands-on medical programs for high school students. These are service-learning experiences in Guatemala, Belize and West Virginia. We will also be adding a site in the near future in southeast Asia, perhaps in Thailand or Indonesia.

These are tremendous growth experiences for the students, many of whom will discuss their experiences when they apply to college in the US or elsewhere. There is a fee for students to participate in the trips, typically paid by the parents.

GPSA is a partnership between Johns Hopkins University, Duke University and selected high schools. We often work with these high schools to create custom programs teaming Duke University faculty and students with high school educators to create a curricular

integrated trip that enhance the intellectual experience for the students before, during and after their immersion.
