Kindergarteners go Full Day

Kindergarteners go Full Day
Lauren Woody

Excitement all around, with the Kindergarteners new full-day summer program.

A big change to the summer school program this year is that for the first time ever, Kindergarteners can choose a full day course. Supervising the KG students are not only teachers, but six High School students who are with them throughout the entire day. Yuyu Chou, a rising 12th grader, explained that she chose to help out in the Kindergarten because, “I love kids, and helping out with kids has always been something that I’ve enjoyed doing.”. Lina Saechout, rising 11th grader, added to this and expressed her excitement for the full day program, stating that she was thrilled that it was full day because she had gone to Kindergarten at Seisen, and wanted to share the joy she experienced when she was a KG student, with those in KG now.

The KG students have been making crafts, reading books, and have been being active both outside and in the gym, while being encouraged to speak English. Xinyue Ma, rising 10th grader, stated, “I hope that they gain inspiration for craft making, as well as ambition for learning”. Not only are the High School helpers excited for this program, but Ann S., a Kindergartener, exclaimed, “It’s so fun!”

A thrilling three-weeks awaits all those involved in the Kindergarten program!
