Pre-3rd Graders Improve Math Skills
The pre-3rd students learn how to add big numbers by using blocks.
The pre-3rd graders worked on building their mathematics skills in their morning session. The students focused on their addition skills by using the yellow math blocks to "exchange" the small ones cube for the tens block. Mr. Peto demonstrated how to use this skills for questions like "32 + 59" where the 12 ones cubes were exchanged for 1 tens block and 2 ones cubes. Through this method, the students were able to gain understanding on how to apply the blocks to solve problems as well as learn how to add difficult numbers together.
