The start of the new school year is a great time to review the traffic safety guidelines around Seisen. This guide covers School Zone road closures, gate opening times and parking guidelines. Let's keep every member child safe.

Parent Information Summer School 2019

Overview

This page will give you an overview of what you daughter will experience over the next three weeks. 

Curriculum for each class is developed by the individual teachers and they will contact you directly if there are any specific needs.

Morning Sessions

Daily Schedule

8:00 - 8:30 Students arrive at school. Waiting in Cafeteria or Library.
                  Cesar's Kitchen will have limited breakfast options for sale.

8:30 - 10:00 First Session 

10:00 - 10:30 Recess on Jungle Gym or Futsal Field for Elementary

10:30 - 12:00 Second Session

12:00 - 1:00 Lunch and Recess

1:00 - 3:00 Afternoon Session

3:00 Dismissal 

3:30 All students and parents are expected to leave the campus. 

Daily Supplies

Clothing: Students do not need to wear the Seisen uniform during summer. school. In fact, you will probably see your teachers wearing shorts as well. 

Class supplies: A simple pencil case of supplies will be sufficient for classes. Teachers will provide all other materials.

Recess: Each day students will have 30 minutes outside for Recess. In addition to a snack students must have a hat and sunscreen.

Water: June will be hot this year. It is a good idea for students to refill their water bottle throughout the day.

Attendance

We understand that family schedules will be different in June. If you know that your child will miss a day, or part of a day, please let us know ahead of time by emailing or calling the Main Office. 

If a student is absent without warning we will call home. 

Student safety is just as important in Summer School as it is in the regular school year.

School Nurses

Both of our school nurses, Ms. Line and Ms. Tada, will be on site all day for the three weeks of Summer School.  The nurses have mentioned any medical concerns they are aware of to the teachers. Please visit the nurses on the first or second day to bring any medication your child may need during June.

Library

The Library will be open for check out and return each morning  throughout the three weeks. 

Open from 8AM until 12:30 PM.

Access to both libraries through the ES Library

Gates

The North Gate will not be open during Summer School.

Pedestrians should enter and exit through the KG Gate. (7:45-8:45 & 2:50-3:30) 
If you are walking from Yoga Station please use the sidewalk on the opposite side of the Main Gate a enter through the KG gate.

Entry and exit through the Main gate is allowed except during bus times. (8:00-8:30 & 2:50-3:20) Look for the red flag by the Main Gate. 

Afternoon Activities

Lunch

All students staying for the afternoon activities are expected to eat in the cafeteria from 12:00 to 12:30 .

Cezar's Lunch: During registration many families indicated that they would like their daughter to eat the Cesar's Lunch. Please ensure you have sufficient funds in your Cesar's account to cover all 15 days.  

Recess: From 12:30 all student will be supervised on the Futsal Field for Recess.

School Buses

Just as they are in the regular school year, Ms. Mariko and Ms. Terumi will be there to make sure students board the buses safely. 

At the end of Afternoon Activities bus riders should move quickly to the area under the chapel. 

If your child will not use the bus on a certain day please contact Ms. Mariko at least a day before. sisoffice@seisen.com
