Grade 3 and Kindergarten begin storytelling exchange
Grade 3 students performed their created their own versions of the 3 Little Piggies to prepare for their upcoming Performing Arts Unit. The Kindergarten students will have their own stories to exchange with the Grade 3 performers in the next few weeks.
Students in Grade 3 provided the storytelling provocation for the Kindergarten classes last week as they told and performed the classic story of "The 3 Little Pigs". Each small group of seven or eight students shared the responsibilities of acting, narrating, playing and singing throughout their short performance. The Kindergarten students asked questions about everything from "How do you make a straw house?" to "Did you have fun?" They learned how to collaborate, improvise, negotiate and be flexible and they had fun!
