Grade 2s are exploring life on the ocean wave!
Grade students have been using careful observational skills to draw different kinds of boats, inspired by Scottish artist, Ritchie Collins.
They looked for familiar shapes and drew these first and then added the details.
The next step was to use different colouring pencil techniques to bring their drawings to life.
Finally, they added a beautiful background - ideas ranged from one lonely boat bobbing on a choppy sea, to a few small fishing boats, in a calm harbour.
