Exciting Design Camp Opportunity from IDEO in August

English speaking high schoolers will be learning how to work on a design challenge - from gaining inspiration and empathy on a topic, to brainstorming with peers, creating concepts, prototyping and story-telling their future vision with others.

Seisen International School class of 2015 student Shoko Furukawa is interviewed by the University of Southern California newspaper about her experienced from Tokyo to California.

Grade 5/6 Activities - Art and Design

Every Wednesday, Natsuki (6B), Vivi (6A) and Kanae (5A) have been coming to the ES Art Room to work on their Grade 5/6 Activity project.

They made giant mixed-media collages of animal faces:  a husky dog, a cat and an eagle.

Firstly, they painted different patterns and textures onto large sheets of paper, then tore these to make the background.

Finally, they drew their animal eyes onto black paper, using oil pastels and positioned them over the background.

If you are in Grade 5 or 6, next semester, why not come and join Miss Speirs for Activity Afternoon?
