March 9th - Celebrating International Women's Day / Remembering the Earthquake & Tsunami of March 11th, 2018 in Seisen Elementary.

Elementary students and faculty came together on March 9th to celebrate International Women's Day. The Music and Dance team planned a short assembly in the gym during morning break. Grade 6 House Captains introduced the event while the energetic students who attend Morning Movement sessions prior to school on Tuesdays and Thursdays with Ms. Kampa opened with a dance routine to TEAMWORK. Monday's SASA Dance students then showcased their interpretation of MOST GIRLS followed by Grade 3 students who sang COME CLOSER. Elementary students and faculty then joined together to dance to WE ARE BEAUTIFUL. A fun way to participate in this global day celebrating the achievements of women around the world.

Students and faculty dressed in red and white representing the colours of the Japanese flag or donned Japanese Traditional Dress to mark the date of the Earthquake and Tsunami on March 11th, 2011. Donations collected will help provide scholarships for students affected in the Tohoku region.
