K-12 House Day 2017

After two postponements due to bad weather, we were blessed with glorious sunshine on Monday, November 6th to enable us to run our fourth annual K-12 House Day!

The day began with students gathering with their houses in various places in the school.  Half the teams boarded the buses to travel to Kinuta Park, where they participated in team-building activities led by the House Captains and team leaders.  The other half stayed at school to participate in creative activities such as popsicle house building, mural colouring and relay races.

The whole school met up together for lunch at Kinuta park (above, clockwise: Asama, Chokai, Iwaki and Ontake) before the morning Kinuta park teams switched to the school activities and vice versa. The day ended with all the teams at school making origami hearts and paper cranes, which you can see hanging around the school.

A fun day was had by all and we hope that new friendships were formed that go beyond grade levels.  We look forward to more house events throughout the year and would like to thank all the House Captains and team leaders for organising and facilitating such an enjoyable day! Please enjoy the slideshow, below, giving a small glimpse into the day.
