Part time  teaching position:

Seisen International School has a vacancy for a part time Japanese language and literature teacher in our Elementary School beginning in August 2020.

The successful candidate must hold a teaching certificate in Japanese literature 中学校教諭一種(国語)/高等学校教諭一種(国語)(This certificate cover ES Japanese literature too) or ES teaching certificate of elementary school 小学校教諭免許一種. 

A teaching certificate in Japanese literature is preferable. 

The successful candidate will be responsible  for teaching

1. Grade 1, 2, 3, 4, and Grade 6(MS).

2. The levels of each grade : Some beginners classes and Kokugo (Advanced Native) classes

The time allocation is - 

3. Grade 1, 2, 3, 4 = 3 periods per 6 days cycle (1 period is 40 min.)

4. Grade 6 = 3 periods per 6 days cycle (1 period is 60 min.)

Recruitment Practices at Seisen International School

Seisen International School will:
a) Perform ‘live contact’ ( phone, skype, face to face) reference checks of at least 2 references
b) Perform one reference check from direct supervisor of candidate (minimum level of Assistant Principal)
c) Contact all references through business email / business phone numbers
d) Verify credentials
e) Conduct internet checks of all prospective employees
f) Require Police background checks
g) Review and update recruitment practices as per ITFCP recommendations/ requirements
