Students have one period every 6 days for a full year. The course is changed yearly to address current IT and integration needs. Students worked with the following applications: Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Sketchup, Photoshop Elements, GarageBand, Macromedia Freehand MX, and Macromedia Flash. Students instruction covers the following concepts: Creativity and Innovation, Communications & Collaboration, Research and Information Fluency, Critical Thinking, Problem-Solving and Decision-Making, Digital Citizenship, and Technology Operations and Concepts. We have adopted the standards and benchmarks set by the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) National Educational Technology Standards for Students (NETS*S).
