- The elementary school library and high school library are connected to allow students to utilize both collections as needed. The school’s libraries together have a collection of more than 18,000 volumes and subscribe to 65 periodicals and 6 newspapers. The media center houses filmstrips, records, cassettes, maps, transparencies, and audiovisual equipment.

Safety
Earthquake
School stuctures have recently been reinforced to comply with new government regulations imposed to lessen damage as a result of severe earthquake. A school-wide comprehensive earthquake drill is conducted annually. Seisen has three large fresh-water tanks ensuring that fresh water is available even if the main supply is cut. There is also a supply of canned/dried foods in storage. Emergency backpack kits are strategically placed throughout the school. Many staff members are CPR trained and First Aid certified. In the event of a major earthquake, government authorities have given assurance that Seisen will receive immediate help. The official recommended evacuation site for Seisen is Toritsu Engei Koko.
Security
Seisen employs the services of security guards that man the various entry points to the campus. Visitors need to inform security guards and are then directed to the main office to obtain a visitor’s pass. This should be worn at all times while on the school premises. Students leaving school during school hours must receive a pass from the records office.
Safety
Because of heavy traffic through the main gate, it is closed to pedestrians and bicyclers from 8:00-8:20 am and from 3:10-3:45 pm. Side gates will be open to bicycles and pedestrians. Bicycles should not be ridden on the school premises. Inside the gates, the rider should dismount and walk the bicycle to/from the bicycle parking area.
Illness and accidents resulting in minor injuries are treated by the school nurse in the infirmary. In the event of serious injury or illness, parents will be notified and the student will be accompanied by the nurse to a nearby hospital. A children’s hospital is located approximately 15 minutes drive from Seisen. Students are covered by a 24-hour accident insurance policy.
Fire
Fire drills are held a minumum of two times a year.
