Middle School
Seisen’s Junior High School consists of the seventh and eighth grades. The curriculum includes 9 subjects with the addition of art and music.
There are 9 periods per day, homeroom starting at 8:20 a.m. and each period lasting for 42 minutes. Lunch time is from 11:40-12:25 and the last period is allotted for either activities or study hall. Each grade is divided into two classes; a total of four classes in the Junior High.
To promote Catholic beliefs for Catholics and Christians, Mass is offered every other week on Wednesdays during the eighth period.
Students are required to participate in two ungraded activities each semester. Some activities are Bell choir, Tennis, Pottery, and Reading Club. These activities are aimed to give students some break from studying and increase cooperation skills with people in other grades. In addition, there are also helping labs in Math, Writing and Science for students who need further assistance in these areas.
Teachers prepare Junior High students so that they will be capable of participating in the rigorous High School program.
