To graduate from
Seisen International School
students must undertake a robust academic course of study. Below are listed the required credits necessary for graduating our Seisen International Diploma (aka Seisen University Preparatory Program)- a total of 27 credits plus the
outlined below. In addition over 95% of our students pursue the IB Diploma as an additional qualification.

Placements within Mathematics and Modern Language classes is based on upon departmental guidelines.
Religion classes are designed to help students grow in their faith, understand the values that they have in common with others, and respect other people with different beliefs and religions.
All students in grades 9 and 10 choose from four Visual and Performing Arts options: 2-D art, ceramics, instrumental music, and drama. Academic electives include IB Music and IB Art or a fourth year of any of the following: math, science, or language.
Other twice weekly T/F electives available to the students are: computer graphics, yearbook, journalism, library assistant, choir, drama, environment club, and pottery. Special instruction in English as an Additional Language Language (EAL) is available through grade 10.
Students are grouped heterogeneously except in mathematics courses, in which groupings are based on aptitude and achievement.
Language acquisition in French, Spanish, and Japanese focuses on written language, oral fluency, and culture components and prepares students for advanced IB level language courses.
